Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit the-foley-teacher.com and its subpages, and what rights you have. The website is deliberately built to collect as little data as possible: it sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics, and loads no content from third-party servers.

1. Controller

For any questions about data protection, contact us at the address above or by email with the subject line "Data Protection".

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. Each time you open a page, the server automatically records technical data in log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, your browser type and version, and your operating system.

This data is required to deliver the website securely and to detect and prevent attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). The log files are deleted automatically after a short period and are not combined with other data. We have a data processing agreement with our host in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels or similar tracking technologies. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to font providers such as Google. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is shown.

4. Contacting us and enquiry forms

If you contact us by email or use one of the enquiry forms on this website, the form opens your own email program with your entries pre-filled. Your data is only transmitted to us when you send that email. We process the data you provide (such as your name, email address and message) to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or carry out a contract.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example for invoices).

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send it to you. The newsletter is sent via Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA). After signing up, you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription (double opt-in). Kit stores your email address, the time of sign-up and confirmation, and whether you open emails or click links, so that we can see which content is useful.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email; the lawfulness of processing up to that point remains unaffected. Data transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses. More information: kit.com/privacy.

6. Links to booking pages, our community and social media

This website contains plain links to external services, including Calendly (booking recording sessions), our project booking page at project.the-foley-teacher.com, Circle (The Foley Guild), YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and IMDb. These services are only contacted when you click a link. From that moment on, the respective provider's privacy policy applies; we have no influence over the data they process.

7. Recipients and third-country transfers

Personal data is only passed on to the service providers named in this policy, and only to the extent necessary. Apart from the newsletter (section 5), no data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA through this website.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise these rights, an email to us is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77). The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Düsseldorf.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the website or the services we use change. The current version is always available on this page.
